My first memory of that song (the original version) is as the opening credits tune during the movie Down and Out in Beverly Hills. I think I saw that in a theater with my dad. That movie was nobody's opus.
I remember when Kermit made the leap from Sesame Street reporter to host of the Muppet Show. Lotta doubters spoke their minds, but I knew he had the chops. God bless that little frog.

attended my first high school football game since fall 2019 this evening, mostly so i could see my kid cheer. we left at halftime because cold and because we wanted to get food and drink. halftime score was 56-20 in favor of my kid's school. junior running back who has multiple d-1 offers had 200+ yards rushing, 100+ yards receiving and 6 touchdowns in the first half. quarterback who i've known since he was a wee lad (i played hoops with his dad for years) threw for over 200 yards and 4 scores. fun to watch.
Family and I just finished Coming to America 2. I won’t give spoilers, but I will say it was very enjoyable to re-enter that world for two hours. Nice to have the flick available for free on Amazon Prime.
Listened to the Arsenio Hall interview on Howard Stern today. Looking forward to watching it...am guessing my kids shouldn't?
Was okay for my 13 and 11 y/o boys, who both LOVED the first movie. There are 1-2 edgy moments, but nothing much worse than the words shit and vagina a few times.
