ReplyDeleteThe second. He was already flustered. That was not done from arrogance but frustration.
ReplyDeleteI worked with a guy who was so used to saying "I love you" when he was signing off on phone calls with his then-girlfriend that he once said "I love you" before hanging up with a client. So this could be like that--he forgot he was arguing before the judge and not before his wife.
