But before there was Wordle, there was Wordle. A Word Picture. Where robots scan a document or website and produce a graphic image featuring the most prominent words, with those most recurrent showing largest.
Thanks to the folks at WordArt, you still can!
So I plugged in our sister site Sentence of Dave. And it's about what you'd think. At first blush, you'd believe that Dave is very high on himself. It's just that every post has "Sentence of Dave" in it, plus he's self-referential a lot.
Plus Dave is very high on himself.
But here you go!
Click on it to enlarge. As usual. Enjoy.

Bob Boilen leaving NPR. He’ll be missed.
welp. there goes this weekend's postcount.
Dammit! Sorry
Fittingly, the term "Dave" appears twice in Dave's wordcloud. As do "beer," "Alex," "Ian" and "Sentence." Poor Catherine is only mentioned once with the rest of Dave's riffraff of friends, and "ass," "hairy," and "Jersey." The fact that "drinking" features more prominently than "Catherine" says something about Dave's priorities as a writer.
I thought so, too. I think it’s because Catherine‘s attendance is implied, plus her mentions get splintered between Catherine, Cat, my wife, etc. And writing about drinking (or books about drinking) is more fun than the average interactions between husband and wife.
It's nice that Dave writes about his cysts and abscesses so frequently, and never about his chancres.
thanks whit! that's very informative. i will reflect and int the next fifteen years I will try to shift my perspective to another topics. . . or not. i also love lecky's comment on that catfish post!
it's back to school night . . . boo
found "awkward" but couldn't find "miracle"
here’s a partial list of the people descending upon boulder for the buffs’ game against colorado state: the rock, gronk, pat mcafee (and his show), stephen a smith, shannon sharpe, lil tunechi, the espn and fox pregame shows. bonkers.
For a game with a 23 point spread
also, lil wayne. who is lil tunechi. prolly shoulda known that.
I don’t know if this is crazy coincidence, eerily weird, or both, but this very day to make an image for something at work, I found WordArt online to create a wordle (word cloud) from a text and was successful. And I play the 5-letter wordle everyday, too.
Different subject — traffic around the 757 was my absolute enemy today. Both tunnels! OMDL!
Oh Rob. You didn't have to admit that. You coulda just played it cool. I wouldn't have outed you. Maybe.
