Just because autumn's chill has made its presence felt, don't think that Team G:TB is slowing down. We're still filling it up.
This morning, in celebration of Trombone Shorty's new album, 'For True', a song that may or may not be on the record.

These guys are phenomenal to see live. Go if you have the chance.
And The Economist is starting up a sports blog called Game Theory. Might actually read it.

also, anyone else getting really tired of tedy bruschi and his 'patriot way' assmunchery?
They were fantastic at JazzFest. (That's my way of adding, "yeah, I'm cool, I went to effing JazzFest").
Going back to the end of the last thread, I think the only thing holding the Jet line at 9 is the fact many still view the Jets through the same prism as the the Jets of old.
The Jets beat the Wade Phillipsless Cowboys, a team that has the talent and potentially the coaching (but not the ownership) to challenge the Eagles for tops of the NFC east. The Jags are not nearly as good.
Take the J-E-T-S and lay the points.
i'll try to extend my streak of extreme wrongness in college football prognostication: florida state is vastly overrated and oklahoma will blow their doors off
Rob, I agree with you.
that makes you a nincompoop
I said much of the same in the last comment thread, Rob. FSU's not all the way back just yet. O-Line is shaky and WRs are average.
Marls- I feel like the Jets are getting more love than they would normally due to their playoff success and location in NYC. Jags are no good but I have a hard time laying that many points with the Jets' anemic offense.
Oklahoma will thoroughly handle FSU. There, I said it.
Did you say it as you typed it?
Wait a minute... Mark is betting against FSU, against a NYC team, and for a Florida NFL team? Get out.
(Not that I think he's wrong.)
