It's that most wonderful time of the year yet again, folks: the faux holiday known as Gheorghemas*. And, as in years past, Day One is late and Teej-centric, because, well, it's me.

My company party is now. If’s at the Hard Rock in Times Square, which is awful in all kinda of ways. Arrived solo at 640 to a massive shitshow - huge lines for coat check and for buffet. I ate a scotch in 5 minutes, let my department head see my face, and then left. Couldn’t be happier, especially b/c they were only serving Johnny Red and Dewar’s.

Don Lemon got some bad fashion advice tonight.
sat courtside at tribe/mason this evening, courtesy of fogtb cliffy. sat with mason a.d. and former redskin brad edwards and near darrell green, who works for edwards in the mason athletic department. had to restrain myself multiple times as the tribe overcame a 12-point halftime deficit to win, 77-70. we talked scheduling with edwards, and he lamented the current state of affairs, saying that he loved in the in-state games, but that mason can't afford to lose at home to teams like willliam and mary. oops.
