Gregg Williams was nailed for the bounties, something people sort of thought happened for years without any proof. He will soon be implicated in a tanking scandal and somehow get pinched for it as well.

I don't believe it was tanking. I believe he wanted to close out the game w/ a high profile play. Twitter had some football nerds showing video of him doing similar things in late-game situations. I think this was done as an "I'm sorry" move to a group that tried hard and deserved better.

Jets will be 1st/2nd in cap room next year. They will have the 1st or 2nd overall draft pick. They have nine draft picks in the 2021 draft, including 5 in the first 3 rounds and a pair of 1st rounders (keep losing, Seattle!). They also have a few young guys that can ball on that roster. The future is bright. Unfortunately, the present is dark AF.

I can see Darnold being a decent QB if he goes to another team with a better coach, like Alex Smith in KC or Ryan Tannehill in Tennessee. I can also see Bill Belichick fleecing the Jets for Darnold.
