Listening to a live show that My Morning Jacket streamed into YouTube last night to get my day moving. Those dudes can jam.

That sounds like real music with a plurality of real instruments! Did you have a real trumpet or is that computerized?

Danimal said...

Does Marls want to get his zoom on?
I'll get my zoom on. Not scared.

All Marls wants to do is zooma zoom zoom zoom, occasionally poom poom, and shake his rump.

I fell off the shoe purchase wagon pretty hard this week. Three pairs. Culminating in a pair of Jordan 5s this morning.

NBC just replayed the clincher for Man City from a few years back. The miraculous comeback over Queens Park. Damn near just as amazing on a rewatch.

Showdown montage for Kingpin currently airing. All time montage.

Thanks, peeps. And Z, the horns and the clavinet (on the other song) and maybe a track here and there are achieved via my keyboard. Everything else is au natural.

Has a Kinks meets Clash meets New Wave sound. Good job.

And kudos to Mark for the MMJ call. I was about to go out on a bike ride and wanted to play an album start-to-finish. I read his comment, started It Still Moves, and went on my way.

And not sure if folks here know about it, but this is a great web site to use to track distance when running:

https://www.gmap-pedometer.com/

it uses Google Maps' technology. Type in your starting address, double-click at each turn, and they tell you distance.

Great album. Happy to help, TR.

nice tracks whit. great mix, vox, and blended sound. definitely retro.

old guy just played my son and i in ping pong. he had expressed interest and i forgot to call him, but he was walking by. he's a pro. ian beat him 14-12 and he beat me 2-1 in a three game series to 11. probably in his seventies, but his ping pong skills are still top-notch. hopefully, we didn't kill him with corona . . .

just made some candied pecans from scratch. no big deal.

rootsminer said...

Whit -who is the Cukes drummer?

Rob- did you grow the pecans?

Sorry ladies. Social distancing happy hour on my driveway, grilled dinner, and then backyard s’mores.

Rootsy-
Song 1 (Love Gone By) - my super smart music buddy handled drums and bass. Everything else was me.

Song 2 (Over the Lines) - everything was me. My drumming ain’t great, at all, but I got this to “good enough” on Take 2.

Live music bookend: Gary Clark Jr on Austin City Limits.

I’m trying again to watch The Wire. The scene where all the kids are playing soccer (S1, E4) is garbage. Every kid on both teams is wearing sweatpants instead of shorts. Every parent is wearing a light jacket, and it’s sunny (and not windy) out. Unrealistic. Not sure this show is any good.

TR said...

Gary Clark is the shit. I have his live album from 2014. Great drinking music.

Also, TR, Nancy Reagan eradicated drugs in America with Just Say No. it’s so phony.
