On the plus side, the Indians have now moved to the top of the standings... for longest WS drought. Of the teams that have been playing for over a century, they have gone without a title 31 years longer than the runner-up ('79 Bucs).
How long until Cubs fans become as insufferable as Red Sox fans have (present company excepted)become? This team will be the NL favorite for the foreseeable future.
Unquantifiable superlatives flow like Milwaukee's Best at Blowout after conclusions like last night's. There were enough mental mistakes and botched plays to raise an eyebrow at "best" . . . unless it's based purely on entertainment value. No matter, it was an all-timer and I'm glad my little buddy stayed up until the end. Good shit.
Correction--he said best NIGHT ever in MLB history.
The 2004 post-season was captivating, but the twists and turns in last night's game were better--the Cubs storyline this season and post-season was incredible
I'll take Jack Morris going 10 innings in Game 7 of the '91 Series over last night. I remember that game well.
I gave up after the 9th last night. Less than 5 hours of sleep, and belly is rumbling from an aggressive order of spicy Chicken Vindaloo at my desk last night. I smell like Indian food, caffeine and sadness right now.
On the flip side, I just found out I have to be in San Diego on 11/16. So looks like I'll be hopping the earliest flight possible on 11/15. My first time to the whale's vagina.
Meeting Clarence in Chicago tmro for US v Maori ABS and All Blacks v Ireland at sold out Soldier Field on Sat. Should be a mellow weekend in Chi Town. You're still in right Clarence?
I watched the video again this morning of Cubs fans singing Go Cubs Go at Wrigley after the Game 5 win. Such a kick-ass moment, especially when you know in hindsight that they would win it all.
Matt Ryan may end this season at #20 on the all-time passing yards list. He passed for over 4,000 yards in each of the last five years, and will make it six in a row in a couple weeks.
That surprise anybody else? He's a bit underappreciated, IMO.

i kid, mostly. but games 4 and 5 of the 2004 alcs are hard to top in terms of combined drama in a 24-ish hour period.
i have no idea what happened in 1986. that was a really long time ago.

We expect a post, Mr. KQ.
