This is a call out to all you gheorghies, whether you're on the recent active roster or not (and those who aren't know who they are). We want ideas. Good, bad, and clownish.
Our tiny dictator now has some free time on his hands. Like plenty of it.How shall he fill it? I can't wait to hear about whatever he does... or maybe even join in the fun!
Oh, sure, he'll "walk his dog." A whole lot, I'd imagine.
He'll hike, he'll watch futbol, he'll tilt at political windmills.
He'll go into his study for a while. Then he'll come out with a children's book ready for publishing.
He will post lots of content here.
He will post lots of content here.
He will post lots of content here.
All play and no posting make rob a bad boy.
Word on the street is that he will join me in Scotland for some rucking and mauling, aka drinking and just watching the rugby.
He also mentioned a trip that included Nashville, Memphis, Austin, and New Orleans... that piqued my interest.
What else???
I mean, I have a few ideas, some of which I've shared with him.
- A Hall of Fame roundabout to Cooperstown, Springfield, Canton, Cleveland, and beyond. (The National Soccer Hall of Fame is in Frisco, TX, for example. And the U.S. Brew Museum is in Pittsburgh.)
- Write and record a debut album. For Squirrels and Squirrel Nut Zippers are taken, but he can surely come up with something catchy for a band name.
- At the very least, learn to play bass!
- Learn to juggle.
- Learn to unicycle.
- Assume this mantle.
- Write the Great American Haiku.
- Find himself.
- Get us all some signed memorabilia.
- Spend time on the beach with Mark.
- Get a PhD.
- Read as many books as Dave.
- Find Dennis!

the PhD link made me chuckle
i vote for the unicycling haiku master. then we will have good reason to beat him soundly and violently.
+1 for learning to play bass. Most probably know the joke about the kid who talks his parents into bass lessons. After excitedly reporting back after lesson one (E string) and lesson two (A string), his mom asked how lesson three went. The young bassist replied "I didn't go to my lesson. I had a gig."
Doesn’t friend Doug Malone have the market on best haiku, at least the kind that come from a place of distaste for people?
Is the trip to Scotland a real thing? If so, y’all should visit my kid; he’s having the time of his life—just returned from 9 day jaunt to London and Warsaw, Poland. Yes. Vienna in two weeks. London again in Dec maybe. Amsterdam and Berlin in Jan. Apparently he goes to classes, too, at St. Andrews.
Could you write post on best streaming option for live TV/local channels/sports please? Hulu+Live or YouTube TV? Fubo, is it? Old school antenna?
Fear & Loathing In Leesburg
I just had a moment where I was straining to make out the tune that's coming from the radio way in the back of my building.
Imagine my shock and horror when I realized it was Billy Joel's "Moving Out". I nearly gave myself a heart attack-ack-ack-ack-ack.
As for the TV streaming, I use Sling TV, and it's much more stable than it used to be. I wish you could watch your local channels over it, but don't think you can.
It's only bothersome when I'm streaming via the computer downstairs, and watching via the antenna requires me to go up two floors and displace a kid from that room. I'll do it on occasion, but it's no fun for anyone.
