Filler to celebrate the Baby Yanks' finally qualifying for the 2022 Men's World Cup. They did it by the slimmest of margins, besting Costa Rica on goal differential after losing to the Ticos in San Jose, 2-0, on Wednesday night. As I said on Twitter, "Not a single complaint about how. Just happy that it is. We goin' Qatar." To which BOFOGTB T.J. Quinn responded, "Great paragraph. Until that last bit. It will never not be idiotic."
I choose to believe he's talking about the shambolic mockery that is FIFA awarding a World Cup in a shamefully corrupt way to a nation with no soccer history.
Bygones.
Here to amuse you, the best moment in recent U.S. soccer history, and a harbinger (hopefully) of things to come:

Anyone watching this Bucks game?
Yes. It was entertaining as hell. Please give me 7 games of that.
The 3 Giannis hit to send it into OT was the final level of his game. He’s already possibly the best player in the world but if he could become a 37-38% 3 point shooter…*mind blown gesture*
I need to watch more hoops. He is fun to watch as is that team. I did not share at the time but spent some qt with Connaughton and team Prez at a party during Ryder Cup. Man crush on Pat. He's a GTB'R.
I'm already dreading hearing the varied pronunciations of Qatar.
Let’s make up one that’s preposterous and obviously wrong and swear to stick by it.
KWAY-tor?
Tolliver?
You did share with us a photo of you and Pat C a little after the Ryder Cup. Think it was through email though.
If you're going to watch more NBA, you've picked the right time. This is shaping up to be the most wide open playoffs (in both conferences) that I can recall in well over a decade.
Quigley?
clontarf
CUE-TAR?

COOTER!
I think that’s the winner
today’s heardle: chef’s kiss
If I had the means, I'd re-post an old one on Larry Costello...HOF'r
So both David McCormack and Mark Williams played hoops at Norfolk Academy. That’s… unlikely. (Neither graduated, as they took their talents to Oak Hill and IMG for their senior years.)
