A Memorial Day post, G:TB-style

I hope everyone is enjoying their long holiday weekend, in remembrance of Memorial Day. I am not one to ever wax poetic, but since I am writing this post I would just like to thank all those who have fought and sacrificed for this country, and think I speak for the entire G:TB community in doing so.

Now, having said that, here's some Lee Greenwood to get you going:

And, as has become tradition for these patriotic posts, some Americana being displayed on the female form:

Original babe (brought back by request)

Replacement babe

One final note: word is Whitney will once again portray Abraham Lincoln in today's D.C. Memorial Day parade. We hear he's even more hungover than usual, which should be fun for him given the oppressive heat and humidity he will be exposed to while wearing non-breathable clothing in direct sunlight. Good luck, buddy.

Abe Update: the big man got mentioned by name on the air, as portraying Mr. Lincoln for the eighth time. He got literally three seconds of facetime, but I did manage to grab this pic:

  2. I have decided the goofy duck lips on that bikini-clad babe annoy the piss out of me. Replacement tail coming soon.

  3. how long until igor becomes a full-fledged lincoln impersonator, talking in honest abe's style, accent, and manner and visiting middle schools across the land to educate them about bad fake beards?

    congrats marls!

  4. that was weird. the brunette turned blonde. and i didn't notice any "duck lips." do we need to teach you what to look at in a photo like that?

  5. This post made me think that the cover of Amorica could not be made today because the disco mitt is extinct.

  6. Dave, do not attempt to judge my posting of patriotic bikini-clad babes. I did minutes and minutes of research in Google Images to make this post work. Now sit yo ass down and enjoy it.

  7. rob, did you go down to the parade this year?

  8. i strongly prefer the original patriotic lass.

sadly, i am not at the parade. i'm cycling through an epic honey do list. cleaned toilets, vacuumed stairs, trimmed hedges. preparing to edge the lawn and stain some wood before settling in for the ncaa lax finals. and igor as abe.

  12. Thanks for the well wishes. Sitting at JFK trying at JFK fighting the hangover with vodka sodas waiting for our flight to Madrid. I cannot imagine how Igor survived his parade duties today.

Many thanks to the boys from Unit M at table 12 for taking the party to another level last night.

    I favor original babe.

  19. I yelled "let me see em" immediately after that line was said and it went over better than the dead mouse.

  20. Igor--I had no idea you double as Lincoln. You may have some more appearance opportunities with this Lincoln Vampire movie.

Is that for real? Can't believe a studio paid actual money to make that movie.

  21. Saw the Lincoln Vampire trailer last week when I saw The Dictator. Might be one of those so bad you feel like you have to see it. I'm thinking that is their strategy....or stragety.

  22. It's Tim Burton, so you have to be a bit open-minded. He directed Planet of the Apes, fer crissakes!

  23. Only Sam Raimi could make this work.

    Groovy.

  24. The "Abe Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" author also did a book called "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies". Now, I have been told by some who read it that both these books are actually quite entertaining. As a movie, though, we'll have to see I guess.

  36. Happy NBA Draft Lottery Day! The most anticipated date on the Wizards calendar every year. And 9 times out of 10, the most disappointing day of the year.
