Sunday Filler

Nobody loves Cocaine Bear more than me. But we needed something new here at G:TB for an NFL Sunday that, frankly, is kind of bland. Well, at least until you get to the Patriots-Broncos game at 4:15 which might actually break the internet. Hopefully Al Gore is on call.

A couple days ago, an email conversation between TJ, Rob and I (I know! The Tiny Dictator AND the Doofus Overlord. I felt pretty important for a few minutes there.) eventually led to mention of the Avis "Stack Cheese" commercial. Of course, TJ immediately went and looked it up and sent us a link. Not surprising. What was a surprise was the Teej saying he'd never seen said commercial. What a shame.

Then it occurred to me that some other members of the G:TB family may have somehow missed out on the comedic brilliance of this commercial. If you have, you don't have to live in the dark anymore.

  9. No Dave. It's a perfect excuse to go to the bar.

  10. Dave doesn't think that way. Part of how he's not as smart as he thinks he is.

  11. Reggie Bush has never rushed for more than 581 yards in a single season. He has a career average of 4.1 yards per carry, and he averaged over 8 yards per carry 6 times in the past, but in 5 of those games he had 6 or fewer carries. Before today he had rushed for 100 yards in 4 of his 79 games (including playoffs) with a career best of 126 yards against the Giants in 2006.

Today he ran for 203 yards on 25 carries (8.1 avg) against the Bills.

  13. Well, there's the third one. Patrice O'Neal, Chester McGlockton, and Kim Jong Il. Three peas in a heavenly pod.

  14. Uh, he doesn't exactly fit in with Patrice and Chester, now does he? Duh, Rob.
