It was a long time coming...

...but Gheorghe: The Blog has finally caught up to the rest of the eBays and added Google AdSense, in order to (hopefully) pay for some Gheorghe: The Happy Hours. I guess we might need to actually generate some content in order to make this worthwhile. If I offered to post a clip of a classic '80s cartoon below, is that something you'd be interested in?

I hereby tender my resignation to Gheorghe: The Blog on the basis of my unwavering princip-- oh, wait, I'm unemployed. Nice work, Taj.

Rob was getting frustrated that we weren't milking the adsense gravy train. Not as frustrated as he is with our softball team, but close.

ARod was caught going into a strip club with a woman in Toronto. Gotta be staged, right?

Trying to make any connection he can with the degenerate Yankee fan base and kill the "ARod is Gay" rumors in one fell swoop? Too easy, too conspicuous, too not ARod. And in Canada, where everything is just a little off.

Not buying it.

Think about it, you're ARod: You can get your manager/friends to do the heavy-lifting while you stay away from the cameras. I'm sure he could afford some sort of Gene Parmesan disguise or something.

No, he WANTED to be caught.

He either had an "I'm Keith Hernandez" moment and didn't give a fuck, or it's not what it seems. Either way, this might be the most "normal" Alex Rodriguez has ever seemed to the casual sports fan: a married dude trying to get some stripper tale in a city (y country) far, far from home.

all i want in this life is some free beer courtesy of google. is that too much to ask?

many thanks to our doofus overlord for coming through.

I think we all do...or at least should. And this is most certainly NOT the forum for sharing them.

See what I mean? Teejay is already buying into the facade! It's working.

Strippers with tails? That's a little kinky for me.

Honsetly, can anyone blame A-Rod? I mean, look at his wife. She has a man face with a little touch of waterhead added in.

Apparently, he likes the manly women...according to the NY Daily News.

This is getting out of hand (as if it wasn't already):

NEW YORK -- NFL clubs may no longer serve alcohol at team functions or on buses or flights, extending a ban that until now applied only in locker rooms.

Greg said...

That's going to solve all the NFL's alcohol related problems.

Strange. I just read that blurb about his preference for "she-males". Ugh. And, really? No booze at team functions now? This is absolutely ridiculous.

Game on...

After weeks of waiting for the University of Florida to finalize his new seven-year contract, the Orlando Magic have entered Billy Donovan's world and given him another substantial offer to ponder.

After leading the Gators to the last two national championships, the 42-year-old Donovan has received a contract offer from the Magic worth $6 million annually, a source told ESPN.com's Pat Forde.

Team officials told the Orlando Sentinel, which first reported the story on its Web site, that Donovan is expected to take the job.

If that is true, Florida needs to immediately hire VCU's Anthony Grant...

mark - you okay this morning?

I'm thinking no.
