Oh Rob...our paths must have crossed yesterday assuming you were at O'Hare. Unfortunate for sure, for a mini-summit opportunity was certainly there for the taking. S
good sports day for americans and tribe fans. us vs. england in soccer at wembley - 2:45 kickoff. wayne rooney's swan song in an england uniform. then, tribe vs. illinois-chicago - 7:00 tip.
I’m in New Orleans with the wife for the weekend. About to eat the first of what’s sure to be more than the normal amount of meals/food. Disregard most of what I say until late sunday afternoon. I’ll be full and drunk.
Roy Clark, native Virginian, country star, and mainstay alongside Buck Owens on Hee Haw, a show which, strangely, kind of holds up because it was corny as hell 45 years ago and it's no more, no less now.
i listened to "enter the wut tang" with my son while playing cards last night. i forgot just how many f and n words they drop. good fun but not something i could listen to when my wife is home . . .
Roy was indeed a heckuva picker. Cocaine and Rhinestones' two part Buck Owens and Don Rich is worth a listen, even if you're not a country fan. Hee Haw was a financial boon to Buck, but it's corniness dimmed his country bona fides a little bit.
It took me 3.5 hours to travel 8.69 miles this afternoon due to snow and myriad car accidents. It’s like everyone lost their mind and decided to drive in the snow like Northern Virginians. Total panic and lack of decorum.
danimal, have you ever bumped into brian mull on a golf course? he's a sportswriter who's also spent some time looping on the pga tour. he's a friend of fogtb mike litos, among others.
you might enjoy this piece he wrote on 'the caddie network'. you probably know many of the names.
