But for a previously unknown gunman's bullet, Tupac Shakur would turn 40 today. I say "previously unknown" because some guy named Dexter Isaac (who clearly did not go to law school, read any relevant criminal codes, or google "statute of limitations on murder in nevada") claims he shot Tupac:
But enough about Mr. Isaac and the shortcomings of his research skills. Today is Tupac's birthday which, in my opinion, calls for a party. A gangsta party.
don't look now, but luke donald is on pace to shoot -72 for the us open.
ReplyDeleteWhenever I think of Tupac I think of golf.
ReplyDeletei know, right?
ReplyDeleteluke donald's pace has slowed a bit
ReplyDeleteIn this contest between Biggie & Tupac, for me, there is no contest. Biggie all the way. There are plenty of Tupac songs I enjoy but there's a lot of throwaways for me too. No disrespect, but he's not even in my personal top 5. I will say this though, Angry Tupac is responsible for some of my favorite songs ever.
ReplyDeleteI don't like Tupac's music very much, I think his flow is pretty boring. But I was tired of "Happy Flag Day" despite the lovely airbrushed lady's picture in the post.
ReplyDeleteZman hates boobs.
ReplyDeleteyou may have seen this, but if not, you should:

So Weiner is pulling out?
ReplyDeleteTR: To be honest, thegirl in the flag bikini intimidated me.
ReplyDeleteMarls: I think it's because of this headline:

Greg totally can't relate to that Tupac/Snoop tune.
ReplyDeleteIs there any doubt Greg was out with DeShawn in Dallas when Stevenson got arrested?
ReplyDeleteBy the way, zman can fuck off, cause that airbrushed chick is still the key item on this entire webpage.
ReplyDeleteParker Stevenson got arrested?
ReplyDeletecongressional is where rory sabbatini showed up ben crane, isn't it? i see a little karmic kickback happening if rory stays near the lead.
ReplyDeleteAre you sure he's claiming to have shot Tupac? Do we have to read between some lines? I don't see it.
ReplyDeletehe didn't claim he shot tupac; just that he was a really slow player. c'mon man, don't overthink it.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy Hit 'Em Up, Picture Me Rollin', Brenda's Got a Baby, and a few others. I enjoy Biggie's style more; seems effortless.
ReplyDeleteIn an interview he said he shot Tupac:
ReplyDeletehttp://www.allhiphop.com/stories/news/archive/2011/06/15/22790289.aspx
The statement isn't explicit but he offers closure to everyone's mother, implying that Diddy (or whatever his name is now) was involved. Which I've always said -- Puffy was just a sidekick in the hottub until Biggie died, then "I'll Be Missing You" made Diddy a star.
Wait, is this guy saying Diddy, Puffy, Cremepuff or whatever his name is was the one to orchestrate the deaths of Tupac and Biggie?
ReplyDeleteare you saying he didn't?
ReplyDeletei'm glad the airbrushed chick is gone-- it was tough for me to check gheorghe during exams with her there.
ReplyDeleteDid anyone see Simmons' question on FB today: How old were you for your 1st sports memory and what was it?
ReplyDeleteThe comments are making me feel really old--"the 1994 NBS Finals when I was 5" or "the 93 Stanley Cup when I was 8"
And, I'm chosing to share my answer with the more intimate GTB family. I have two distinct sports memories from 1974--when I was 4 years old.
1. My first professional baseball game--it was a week night Pirates game in July at Three Rivers Stadium. I fell asleep before the 7th inning stretch.
2. MNF at Veterans Stadium in Philly. (September, Eagles v Cowboys--had to look it up on google) My uncle was working at ABC Sports at the time, so my mom and I went to the stadium during the day to see him (we lived in the burbs). I remember walking down the empty concourse with my uncle and stopping for him to chat with Howard Cosell. Then I got to sit in the production room while Cosell recorded the intro for that night's game. Even as a toddler I knew it was really cool to be there.
