Port of Dover police rescue elderly woman left in car[Insert requisite clip here]
An elderly lady was accidentally abandoned in the back of a parked car when her relatives went on a day trip to France, police have revealed. Port of Dover Police received a call from two people on board a ferry as it left Dover. The pair left their car in a multi-storey car park ahead of the trip, forgetting their mother was inside.

Just call Cousin Normie and have him come and get her
Where's the respect for our elders these days? I mean, you don't see Mark and I leaving Whit and rob in the car when we take them to Shoney's for their weekly field trip away from the home.
i could see this happening if the elder was my mother-in-law. if my wife happens to see this - i love you honey and you know i'm only kidding. have a terrific day and tell babbs i miss her!
ReplyDeleteBut you will see Mark and me leave them in a car.
ReplyDeleteDid I fuck up the "I/Me" grammar? I hate that one.
ReplyDeleteBrandon Marshall to the Fish for 2 second round picks. Marshall gets the biggest contract ever for a WR. So the highest paid WR ever is only worth 2 second round picks? I know there's a lot more to it than that, but it still looks weird to me.
ReplyDeleteZ-Man, NFL contracts aren't worth the toilet paper they're written on. His deal will soon be trumped by a re-upped Andre Johnson or someone of that ilk I'm sure...the much bugger aspect of Marshall to Miami is that Darrelle Revis gets to make him his bitch twice a year.
ReplyDeleteNow that will be good times.
'bugger aspect'? freudian?

ReplyDeleteNever would have thought this would be the case. MLS higher average attendance than NHL and NBA. I can see the NHL but the NBA.

Brandon Marshall's probably going to see every dollar of that contract if he can stay out of the hoosegow (admittedly a big if), as he's only 26 and its a 4 year deal so he figures to still be at or near his prime by deal's end.
ReplyDeleteWhile the money may be a bit high for such a head case. The price (2 second rounders is reasonable for a top 3 WR) is right and the addition of Marshall will make the Dolphins far better offensively than they've been in many years. I don't think you can understate how much an offense is hamstrung by having Tedd Ginn be their primary WR (though Davone Bess had more catches, Ginn was the "big play" guy).
I'm interested to see Revis and Marshall match up as I believe Marshall is more physical and talented than just about any WR that Revis faced last year. I'm in no way insinuating that Revis isn't as good as advertised, just that the likes of Moss, Ochocinco, etc. aren't the premier WRs they once were.
The NBA has priced out the average fan. It's been happening for year's but the current economic climate has really brought the problem to light.
ReplyDeleteI don't trust attendance #s in any sport that doesn't consistently sell out. They can manipulate those #s through giveaways, discounts, etc.
ReplyDelete17k for the NBA/NHL isn't a bad # at all, but it's likely inflated. Of course discounted NBA tickets are probably 3x the price of MLS tickets. Either way, that's a good # for MLS.
My point? I don't know.
Did anyone else find this Bulls gossip amusing?

ReplyDeleterecruiting officer-- are either of you gay?
ReplyDeleteTJ -- no, but we're willing to try.
I don't know exactly when, about 5-7 years ago, I remember being shocked to learn that the NHL avg attendance was higher than NBA. It was well within the current period where everyone doubted the NHL deserved Big 4 status. The point is....it's all about TV money (not tickets and jerseys) and the NHL has almost none.
ReplyDeleteI need to come around here more often. I cannot believe Shlara uttered,
