RIP Dick Hoyt, a real hero among heroes. Worthy of a full post, but I'm hopping on a plane this afternoon to Florida to see my newly vaccinated father for the first time in a while. Cheers.
Even if this is an especially weird year, I’m pretty pumped for the tournament to really get going today. Less so about the first game featuring my maddeningly inconsistent alma mater. Luckily for me, I have some Cochon Butcher arriving at my home via Goldbelly later today.
No open thread tourney post? I’ve watched almost no college hoops this year but am happy tourney is happening. Anticipating a crazy two weeks bc the season has been so bizarre. Do y’all agree? I’ve been writing a weekly chronicle of our family stuff on FB (yes, I’m old!) since quarantine began —wrote the 52nd edition as week 52 was last week! We’ve watched 101 family movies this year! OMDL! All started with the required viewing of “Diehard” 😀
I put my goldbelly order in a while back and the hand pies weren’t available at that time. So I ordered Le Pig Macs (tonight), some homemade sausage (whenever) and the charcuterie (Sunday). In a bit of serendipity, crawfish tails were on sail at the local market this week so the wife is making crawfish bread to go with the charcuterie on Sunday.
Well, this is certainly dumb.

Jinxed myself. Sat on the tarmac, heard lots from the pilot about storms in Charlotte, got off the plane, trying again tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteThat sucks Whit but I'm sure you will make the most of it.
ReplyDeletezman’s norfolk state gettin after it on the defensive end
ReplyDeleteWally Sczerbiak does pre/post for the Knicks. Seeing him on the NCAA coverage today reminds me of what a creepy Frankenstein he has morphed into.
ReplyDeleteI thought Wally had more of a dracula vibe.
ReplyDeleteCount Chocula.
ReplyDeleteNorfolk State collapsing like a house of cards
ReplyDeleteTR, JC and I had a sidebar about this 69 sling and we concluded that all of the models must be vaccinated because covid is transmitted by farts.
ReplyDeleteindeed, an impressive fade by the spartans. bodes poorly for michigan state.
ReplyDeleteManaged the win despite looking lousy
ReplyDeleteI had plans to go to bed at a good time, but then High Fidelity came on. Jack Black is a maniac.
