Snowy, Rainy Stock Market Blues

It's cold and snowy here in NYC. The stock market is a hot mess. Oil prices are a hot mess. My company did some layoffs two weeks ago and may not be done. And my office is literally raining b/c some construction bozos doing work on the floor above me in my building ruptured a water pipe.

I need something to make me feel better. This may do the trick:

  1. TR, good luck with the potential next round.

  2. Based on this video alone, it appears that Soul Train would air your dance if (1) you could dance your ass off; (2) you had strong ball-handling skills; or (3) you were a good looking woman in snug and/or small clothing. And I have no problem with any of that.

  3. Got to love the guy with the basketball and the afroed Payne Stewart.

  4. Did Soul Train have an official dress code? Or was there some sort of village people type casting - we need an athlete, someone who looks like they just came from aerobics class, a cocktail waitress, and a professor...

  5. definitely going to work in a basketball on my next night out sock hopping. totally groovy man. and I loved me some soul train, which explains why my white irish ass can cut a fucking rug as well as the affinity for the brown sugar. that's right. (I began writing this at about 10am today and forgot about it)

  6. people were skinnier then. this is a real trend, but it's definitely apparent in that video. i wish it were acceptable to juggle a soccer ball and dribble it around instead of dancing.

  7. There may have been a little bit of Uncle Charlie keeping the folks in this video thin.

  8. The guy with the tail is my favorite. Afro Payne Stewart a close second.

  14. I'd like to know the back story behind each of the previous two comments, excluding mine.

  15. my company is being sued by a small company with a preposterous claim. allegedly, i have material knowledge about the issues at hand. thusly, i get to be deposed.

  16. Yeah, the Trump/Bernie outcome is not what anyone expected a year ago. Or Kasich in second place for that matter.
