rob wants in on Filler Week

Tiny sent along this link for our afternoon amusement:

Wu Tang Nickname Generator

I got us started...when Gheorghe: The Summit takes place one year from now in New Orleans for Jazz Fest 2011 you can simply call me Sarkastik Desperado*.

*It's really quite sad that an internet meme like a Wu Tang nickname generator is able to peg me so easily.

  2. Cash rules everything around here...

  3. Arrogant Mercenary--does that mean that I'm arrogant? Or am I a Mercenary fighting for arrogant people against the more grounded masses?

  4. And can I spell it "Arrow-Gant Mer$enaree"?

**I think "Arrow" and "Gant" are the makers of sub-premium menswear.

  5. While we're at it, RIP Guru.

  6. I'm just shocked you guys haven't commented on the team that got DQ'd from the gay World Series for not being "gay enough".

    ReplyDelete
  7. And I can't believe my team got booted from the gay world series.

  8. They weren't really playing for the other team?

  9. Elaine got them to switch teams.

  10. Can I get some predictions here on where Tebow gets drafted (plus/minus 5)? I'll say he's picked around #36.

    ReplyDelete
  11. I say with the #44 pick in the draft the Patriots take Tebow.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Teej is copying nfl.com's mock draft selection for Tebow. They do a 3-round mock, which is comical and a bit dumb, yet totally captivating.

Can Mark (or somebody else) explain why Brandon Spikes is a 3rd rounder? Did his 40 time sink him that much?

  13. I put your name in and it spit out Rhymenocerous.

  14. I am? I just went with the Pats middle 2nd round pick, thus giving me a better chance to be correct given Geoff's "+/-5" cushion.

  15. The Florida Gators have had at least one player picked in each of the last 58 NFL drafts, longest streak in SEC history.

  16. Tebow goes #6 overall when the Bills move up to get him.

What are the chances that Colt McCoy will be there at #41? And what are the chances that the Bills will take him if he's there?

    ReplyDelete
  17. That won't be necessary after the Bills take Clausen at #9.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Come on Z-Man, you think Buddy Nix can pull off a trade at 8pm tonight? The worst thing that could've happened to the Bills draft room was moving this thing to primetime. There isn't enuff caffeine-laced Ensure to get these guys through the night.

  19. You don't think that a brain trust consisting of a 90 year old owner, a 70 year old GM, and Chan Gailey can remain awake and cogent after 8 pm?

    ReplyDelete
  20. The Bills front office has the worst prostate health in the NFL.

  21. 'vulgar warrior' here, motherfuckers.

  22. i am the "arrogant ambassador." and i am kind of arrogant. and i have been to many foreign countries. i tried to get a new, badder nick-name but obviously the internet could see me-- b/c when i clicked again, it still nicknamed me "arrogant ambassador."

as soon as my brother plays some keyboard on it, i am going to release the greatest rock song in history. it has a rap in it, and i will credit it to the "arrogant ambassador." what rhymes with ambassador?

  24. i did it wrong. i forgot to put my name in. if you don't put your name in, it always calls you the "arrogant ambassador."

i am actually the "irate hunter," which makes no sense, since i'm generally good-natured and i don't like to hunt.

  25. if you put in your name as Fuckstik Master it names you Mighty Leader, but if you put in Fuckstik Meister then you are called Sarkastic Wizard.

    What the fuck?

  26. It's all part of the mystery of chessboxing Dave.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Z-man, Dave just doesn't have your witty unpredictable talent and natural game.

    ReplyDelete
  28. That's why Dave is an Irate Hunter.

  29. Another fun thing to look forward to--Mel Kiper using the same sentence structure every time they cut a way to him narrating a video package on a draftee:

A 6'2" 314 pound senior, Turd Ferguson looks to be a late first round pick.

A versatile tight end with wide receiver speed, Fudgie Butters will not get past the 49ers in the third round.

A registered sex offender with a scorching case of penile gout, Rube Muttonchubbs is the top long snapper ever to come out of SMU.

  30. Anybody think that this was the NCAA's plan all along? Float the 96 team thing out there. . .have people like me freak out about how they are ruining everything. . . then change it 68 teams resulting in a collective "ok, cool" from everybody. In addition, it brought the WWL into the bidding process resulting in CBS likely upping their "winning" bid.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I have to say I am very happy that ESPN will not have the NCAA tourney rights. I see enough of Dickie V's ugly mug as it is. I think somebody in an official capacity needs to come out and address if the 96 team scenario was legit.

Are we to assume that the 68 team format means the 8 worst teams play in 4 play-in games for the #1 seeds? Seems reasonable to me.

Would our Griffins have snuck in if it were a 68 team field this year?

    ReplyDelete
  32. i don't want to know the answer to that question, tr.

  34. I have joined roughly 4,000 others at Nats Park this afternoon...go nats.

  35. If they would have failed to gain entry in a 68 team field, we could've taken solace that they were #69.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Annnnnd...cut.

    Thank you all for playing.

  37. just walked into the stairwell in my office building and smelled the obvious remnants of a papal election. mark, are you in dc?

    ReplyDelete
  38. Sadly, no. I do have a new post coming at 5:33 though. And a papal election following shortly thereafter.
