Emergency Filler
Shlara asks, Shlara gets. I don't know when this turned into a Harry Styles stan blog, but I don't hate it. Came across this cover of Peter Gabriel's 'Sledgehammer' on the interwebz recently, though it was recorded in March 2020, in the Before Times. It's really good. And so you can enjoy it, too, while we wait on the final day of Gheorghemas.
I like this cover. But I feel for those engineers at Peter's studio who have to listen to every band cover that song when they record at his studio. That would get old quick.
Not sure which Gheorghe supports Leicester FC, but that was a brutal loss at the hand of my Spurs. I almost closed the window as it neared the end, appearing to be over. Then Bergwijn scored two goals in 90 seconds, and it was indeed over.
my company just announced a new policy that allows us up to 8 weeks of 'work from anywhere' time each year. mark, i'm coming to your house to work for a few weeks, then headed to danimal's. open to other offers and ideas, as well.
I just received 'Blood in the Garden' in the mail yesterday. I'm almost finished with Dan Shaughnessy's book 'Wish it Lasted Forever" on the 80s Celtics and will be starting 'Blood in the Garden" next.
You're welcome to come join me in working from my home, Rob.

ReplyDeleteWas just about to apologize to Whit for the Spurs dagger in the 90+5 and 90+7 minutes. Brutal for LCFC.
ReplyDeleteDammit, Leicester. (I hear that a lot.)
ReplyDeletefirst brutal loss of whitney's fandom. now you're officially a fox.
ReplyDeleteA stone fox, much like Lux Lisbon.
ReplyDeletetoday's ESPN Daily about the 90s knicks is entertaining. I may need to read that Blood in the Garden book.
