World Series Open Thread

(Read: lazy man working on a World Series post didn't get it done.)

We'll break down the Series, G:TB style, over the next few days, but suffice it to say that our editorial position is that it's really freaking cool to see the Cubs make it to the this point, and it's hard for some of us to root against Terry Francona.

  1. I viewed the game at the home of a bona fide cubs fan and in the company of other bona fide cubs. It was the first baseball game I've watched in its entirety on the t.v. in forevs. I enjoyed it thoroughly.

  2. For grins and giggles I was checking out series tix. 2300 on the low end. 40k on the high.

  3. Rob- both the Swan and Dolphin are on the water near the Disney Boardwalk. Easy access to a number of the attractions by ferry and they have solid dining/drinking options in house. Good deals. They're both actually Starwood resorts too so that's an added bonus if you're a member.

  7. I have not. Think some friends of the wife have. I will inquire.

Also forgot that JP Losman existed.

  9. It's kind of funny that the Indians haven't won in nearly 69 years but they get no love because it's the Cubs.

  10. The Browns are on their sixth QB of the season. It's week 7. That can't be a helpful fact for them.

  11. They really are Dan. If the lack overall improvement doesn't get Gus fired, the regression of the young offense should tip the scales further against him.

  12. I'm on the "fire him now" bandwagon. Bortles has regressed to rookie form. Turnovers, drops, penalties, poor play calling, 2 guys ejected today...they are off of the rails. Time to pull plug.
Del Rio surely enjoyed himself today.
