One Shining Open Thread
A Ghooghle search for 'one shining peep' returns pages and pages of open-toed stiletto-heeled shoes. There's a weird sorta fetish thing happening there, and I don't want to know much more than that.
So instead of our first option, we give you this, a reasonably accurate representation of what will happen this evening when two groups of young men enter into mortal (ish) combat for our entertainment.
well that went right over my head now didn't it? a little groggy this morning. my easter sunday ended with a last-minute, impromptu, get your drunk on. very disappointed with how the week is starting. bad decision making.
Anyone watch this weekend's SNL with Michael Keaton? I thought it was above average. Have always dug that guy. The last skits of the show are usually pretty weak - I thought this weekend was an exception to that rule. This tickled me.
There's a photo of me & big Gheorghe and the Easter Bunny from the White House Easter Egg Roll in the mid-90s. Can't seem to find it...would be perfect filler for today
i have already engaged in snowboarding, snow-shoeing, snow sledding, snow football, and snow beer drinking today. i am not going to make it through this game.
With a 5 AM wake up, I'll be good for the first half. When I was a kid who wasn't allowed to stay up late, I fantasized about being an adult and being able to stay up until midnight. That ship gas sailed.
Mark - I have forwarded you the email re Masters pool. We are eager for your pending participation.
ReplyDeleteARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED

ReplyDeletea word to the wise - if printing out the pool picks, select "Page 1" otherwise you'll have a 49 pieces of paper jamming that shit up
ReplyDeletefind it, shlara!
ReplyDeleteThe diateejus experience sounds like fun. At Easter dinner my mother said "diabeetus" without any irony. Apparently that's how she pronounces it.

ReplyDeleteTR's ship is quite gassy.
ReplyDeleteIs there anyone pulling for Duke besides the Poole who actually went to school there?
ReplyDeletethis is very fun
ReplyDeleteCoach K doesn't age. It's creepy.
ReplyDeleteGood thing we have this open thread.
ReplyDeleteI think I ate some bad tzatziki sauce because my stomach is a little off and I have the chills. Other than that I'm thoroughly enjoying this game.
ReplyDeleteWhen are they going to run out of Plumlees?
ReplyDeleteIf you like tziziki sauce and you find yourself on Park Ave and 50th you have to hit Uncle Gussie's gyro truck. It's a religious experience.
ReplyDeleteDon't like this Duke dork who looks like boy band material.
ReplyDeleteFeels like home.
floppityflopflop
ReplyDeleteSo easy to hate Duke. Smarm, Cameron, flops, and bullshit calls. Love it.
ReplyDeletetyus jones and grayson allen. jesus.
ReplyDeleteCaroline Woz trying to rattle Rory on the eve of the Masters by showing up at the game tonight with JJ Watt
ReplyDeleteWinslow touched it. Why is this so hard?
ReplyDeletewelp
ReplyDeleteOr not. Why bother?
ReplyDeleteYou cannot make up the officiating gap.
ReplyDeleteGawd.
ReplyDeleteWisconsin knows there are only two halves, right?
ReplyDeleteand...fuck
ReplyDeleteSad badger teletubby will be a meme in 20 minutes.
ReplyDeleteDuke is the France of college basketball.
ReplyDeleteW&M is the Lilliput then.
ReplyDeleteAs stepbro Ian noted, the Patriots and Duke take the first two major trophies of '15? Good news for Yankees fans.
ReplyDeleteTyus Jones was unreal down the stretch. He's been clutch all year. This was obviously on a whole different level.
ReplyDeleteGrayson Allen carried Duke for a five minute second half stretch.
Kaminsky seemed oddly hesitant to pull from three all night.
That was fun.
i grudgingly agree with mark. i hated the outcome, but that was a fun watch.
ReplyDeletegrayson allen's gonna haunt us for the next three years, isn't he?
ReplyDeleteHe's certainly on track to be the next widely hated Duke player.
ReplyDeleteHad duke beating Wi in the final and lost my bracket by a point, for the who gives a big whoop file.
