Roll Down the Windows, Turn Up the Volume

I'm headed to see one of my favorite bands this evening, which is great enough. But another of my all-timers just released a new record, so it's a bit of musical heaven for me at the moment. Pitchfork is streaming Bob Mould's new album, Beauty and Ruin, until June 3. If you dig the former Husker Du frontman's muscular rock, this one's right in your wheelhouse.

Here's a live version of the first single from the record, 'I Don't Know You Anymore':

  2. Jack Sock has a bad name but he's a good player. I doubt he'll win a major anytime soon but he's a legit American player to root for.

Anyone who wants the stomach flu should come to zhome. We're all puking and pooping.

  4. Rafael Nadal has lost 18 sets at the French Open in 62 career matches. One one hand it seems like he should win it all this year because he always does. On the other hand it doesn't seem possible to remain this dominant for this long. It's been too long since a Frenchman won so I'm taking Tsonga or Monfils. In case you were wondering.

  6. The mom of one of my stepdaughter's friends just showed up to our house a couple hours after her stated ETA. Not only that but she got lost multiple times once she actually started making her way.

She pulled up and nearly hit the mailbox. Then leaned out of her window and slightly slurred "you guys don't show up on mapquest".

So...first, nice work drunk Mom. Second, who the fuck still uses mapquest?

  7. The Thunder have managed to tie this game up despite some atrocious half court offense down the stretch. I'm amazed the announcers aren't focusing on this more.

  8. Westbrook saved the Thunder's season with his 6th steal (6 steals!). He's not perfect. He is often spectacular though.
