Not only did the Tribe get their asses handed to them on the basketball court by College of Charleston - they were equally pummeled on the diamond by UVA.
i have a 4:50 flight out of minneapolis this evening. minneapolis is expected near-blizzard conditions at some point this afternoon/evening. there's a 50/50 chance i'll be sleeping in the airport tonight. wish me luck.
Evan Turner to the Pacers is a big deal. To me, at least. Their bench was already much better than last year and Turner makes them even better. He needs the ball in his hands to be most effective and he'll get that a bunch playing with the second unit.
I wonder how much (if at all) Turner will shine in a defined, limited role as a sub. His stats this year have a Shareef Abdur Rahim-esque quality (ie, the team isn't good so I'm gonna be a chucker so I can get paid). And he's in a contract year. He's gonna be grumpy if he's not getting minutes.
But I do love the Pacers. The Eastern conference finals are gonna be epic.
this random, crappy embassy suites bar has surly furious on tap, a serious selection of bottled beer, and carries booker's and basil hayden. and just served me a legitimately good salmon burger. what kind of twilight zone episode have i stumbled into?
To rob's facebook post this a.m. - I am at the other extreme, nearly anyway. Going on my 3rd day where I'm solo w/kids from 2'ish 'til night time and each a.m. for breakfast. I love my workplaces. Who sells patience?
When I'm solo parenting the break in patience happens at day 4. At that point, my son is done with me and it's a battle royal of stubbornness until the wife gets back in town.
