After a wkd of single parenting and very little sleep I just sat down with a triple vodka and olives w blue cheese that I stuffed myself between kids naps and diapers of pooh.
Clarence, I appreciate the invite. I would love to head up to see/meet the gtb crew among others including Uncle Buckles. I unfortunately have the annual tool fest convention in Orlando, my 14th or 15th in a row. So yeah, I appreciate the planning.
I think that's right rob. I like Rice, Reed, and Wacka Flacka Flacco but I don't think Ray Lewis deserves to ride off into the sunset with the SB trophy.
I do get the Ray Lewis Anti-Ravens sentiment. For some reason I set that aside. I know too many Baltimorons who still seethe at the loss of the Colts, even after the Ravens' SB win a dozen years ago, and this is a salve for them. I'm pulling for the Charm City.
i'm just a naive/gullible ole chap. i'm a sucker. the story of the 2000 ray lewis incident is one i don't remember much of - i never followed it closely and am very short on the details. laziness, interest (lack of) & time constraints are not going to change that for me. on the flipside, i was not too lazy and had the time to watch his "a football life." he seemed very believable, and yes, i will say it, like a pretty good dude. i'll hang up now.
That entire Little Dancin Man show was pretty decent. Especially for something that airs at like 430 AM.
The great thing about the Super Bowl is that we have time for all the angles. Like expose on how this matchup is impacting the Harbaugh parents bedroom habits.
So the Budweiser new brew is interesting. They had each of their breweries (including Williamsburg) create a new variety and then they voted on which was best, with the winner (the brewery in Los Angeles) getting mass production. We have a friend who's a beer distributor, so we have a six-pack with six different beers from the contest in our fridge. Seems like a good day to work my way through them.

It's not going to make the highlight films, but yesterday's NFC game was a great advertisement for taking a Delay of Game instead of a timeout in the 2nd half.
Atlanta called a TO on 2nd and 8 with 8 minutes left in the 3rd to avoid a 5 yard penalty.
If conserved, that timeout would've gotten them the ball back for the final drive with :50 instead of :10.

ReplyDeleteTiny Danson.
ReplyDeleteThis game is fun. Provided that it ends with Atlanta covering the 4.5 points.
ReplyDeleteAgreed.

ReplyDeletehave you guys seen the nfl: a bad lip reading? check it out.
It's nice that they bring Mike Pereira in so that he can always agree with whatever the referees call. That didn't look like a catch.
ReplyDeleteso we're rooting for the niners, then?
ReplyDeleteI'm happy with the Ravens/Niners SB. Unexpected. Plus I like Natty Boh and Anchor Steam.

ReplyDeleteIf you knew why Ray Lewis killed those guys, you might not be so quick to judge.
