"By the way, speaking of Bill Murray, every time "Road House" is on and he or one of his idiot brothers are watching TV— and they’re always watching TV — one of them calls my husband and says [In a reasonable approximation of Carl Spackler (Murray’s character in "Caddyshack")], ‘Kelly’s having sex with Patrick Swayze right now. They’re doing it. He’s throwing her against the rocks,’" Lynch said in an interview with AVClub.com to promote her Starz show "Magic City."Now that is dedication to a bit.
Dedicated to the premise that life would be better if we all took ourselves a little less seriously.

Billy Murray (and his brothers) are awesome
We all know Bill Murray is awesome. If you do not feel that way, get the f**k out of this corner of the blogosphere. I just stumbled upon this link from the New York Post revealing that Murray (or any of his brothers) calls movie producer Mitch Glazer EVERY TIME the sex scene between Glazer's wife (Kelly Lynch) and Patrick Swayze airs during the movie classic "Road House":
That just made my day.
ReplyDeleteSisler!
ReplyDeleteBut what about "Row House"?
ReplyDelete"The House on Sorority Row"?
ReplyDeleteAfter a seemingly innocent prank goes horribly wrong, a group of sorority sisters are stalked and murdered one by one in their sorority house while throwing a party to celebrate their graduation.
Jerry, is this the Popovich interview you were referencing in the earlier post?

Oh yeah...that was awesome. Game 2 of 82.
ReplyDeletego find the video of the avett brothers' performance (with the brooklyn philharmonic) on kimmel last night. music can move a motherfucker.
ReplyDeleteand if you don't like the avetts, well, you should probably go fuck yourself.
You know how much money I sunk into web design for that thing? Tens and tens of dollars, I tell ya.
ReplyDelete"Let's Make Earth Day Last All Year."
ReplyDeleteI say that shit ALL the time.
“I want to thank all the people that downloaded, Earth Is Crying, and I especially like the great comments left by people who downloaded the song and have shared a few below”.
ReplyDelete"It helps us all to realize that we are One, and in this together”. --T.J.
Listening to Teej's song "The Earth Is Crying." I offer merely a two word review that says Shit Sandwich.
ReplyDeleteIn Miami for the 2nd time in two weeks and a 3rd to come this week. It is such a shitshow getting in and out of here. But once in and settled at airport which today was 2 hours early there are few airports I would rather be day drinking in. My name is Danimal and I approve this message.
ReplyDeleteI worked really hard on that song, asshole.
ReplyDeletei challenge danimal to a game of cornhole, to determine who is the best athlete of the gheorghosphere.
ReplyDeletewe still have no power, but the park pub was up and running last night, so that was fun for me (but not my wife and kids, at home in the cold and the dark).
The Danimal family project of the week is to put together a box or 3 of stuff---clothes, toys, paper clips, used underwear, or whatever to send up yonder. Gtb and fogtb get first opp to refuse. This was not my idea. I am not that thoughtful. If you or someone you know could benefit, let it be known.
ReplyDelete"It started with pre-production on the songs in 2005 with drummer Rock Deadrick ...."
ReplyDeleteI bet Rock Deadrick hangs out with Otto von Wolfenstein.
And Mick Shrimpton.
ReplyDeleteWow. Reading T.J.'s site more carefully, he also mentions these other Spinal Tappish co-musicians:
ReplyDelete- Bruno Coon (nylon guitar)
- Phil Parlapiano (keyboards, accordion, and yes, piano)
- Tim Pierce, a guitarist’s guitar player who recorded with Bruce Springsteen and Crowded House
Come on, Teej.
I love the press release from earlier in the year.
ReplyDeleteDidn't realize the 2 degree separation between TJ and Jay-Z and John Prine.
