Restaurant Review
G:TB's (female, which is important in this case) San Francisco correspondent sends news of a new culinary destination in that fair city's Chinatown area. I've ordered tee-shirts for the entire staff.
The New York Post is reporting that God's Gift Achuiwa, a 6-foot-9, 240-pound JUCO All-American, signed with St. John's yesterday, giving coach Steve Lavin the power-post player he needs to complement the nation's No. 2-ranked recruiting class.
Tyler, the Creator doesn't pay much attention to foreign weddings but he does pay attention to Rebecca Black (SOD cross-promomtion!). Keep the volume down at work.
How could the Jets take a Muslim in first round? Don't they know that they are going to open the season in primetime on 9/11. This is a disgrace. Rex Ryan, Mike Tannenbaum and the entire Jets Org. should be fired.
While I understand that they "technically" have the right to draft whoever they want, it is just in bad taste and should be nullified at all costs. Think of the 9/11 families. Ten years after the biggest tragedy in the history of the world, they will watch their beloved Jets play with a Muslim as their #1 draft pick. If they are watching at the Flashdancers by ground zero, they will have the double disgrace of having to walk past a mosque to get there.
I call upon Commissioner Goodell, Mayor Bloomberg, Nancy Grace, Bill O'Reilly, Geraldo, Gerardo, Glen Beck, Lee Greenwood, and all other proud, God fearing (the real God BTW)Americans to find a way for this pick to be overturned.
I just caught up on the draft talk from last night. I was less than thrilled with the coverage of the draft. One of the first highlights I saw of Kerrigan (Ryan, not Nancy) was him getting his lunch eaten by the enormous Colorado tackle. I know less about Kerrigan than I should, but he really fills out a suit.
And I think Zman is romanticizing his ability to fight a jam. He wasn't Sam-level easy, but he was no Joyner.
one of the orginal working names for bill simmons' new sports/pop culture site was 'wheelhouse'. sources close to the effort tell me that they were unable to reach an agreement with the proprietors.
Me either, TJ. I mistakenly blasted the Locker pick on the last thread before I realized a new post was up. Called him, essentially, VinceYoung with more character. Yay. He's still a historically inaccurate passer whose instincts are to run when things break down.
Would it kill them to put one more X at the end of the word to make it absolutely perfect?

ReplyDeleteI'm pleased to know that Mayhugh thinks romantic thoughts when he thinks of me.
ReplyDeleteI still can't believe Tennessee took Locker.
ReplyDeletecoincidentally, given today's post topic, i'm currently reading a book called 'poke the box'.
ReplyDeleteOr that both the Skins and Cowboys traded DOWN in a first round of a dratf.
ReplyDeleteWilt's second autobiography?
