Presenting Your NFL Comments Forum

You are looking live...at a quiet G:TB landscape. Funny how slow it gets at 4:45 AM. I guess nobody else is pacifying a 15 lb. ball of fury at this hour, unless the Z-Man is drunkenly trying to bed a possum. Again.

We have a mixed slate of games today, but with seemingly all of the AFC in the hunt for a wild card berth, it should be interesting. Games that matter include:

New Orleans @ Atlanta
Denver @ Indianapolis
Cincinnati @ Minnesota
San Diego @ Dallas
Philadelphia @ NY Giants.

Enjoy the games.

  1. What I didn't notice the first time I watched Ingram's acceptance speech was Saban's reaction. I don't know what the best word is for the opposite of emotional, but that was good old sincere Nick.

  2. I noticed that a bit too. He did manage to plant one of Ingram's mom though.

And TR, what has Rob told you about Sunday posts?

  3. Did I "Dave" your imminent post? Are you extra salty this morning because Jesus H. Tebow finished 5th and Bama broke its Heisman cherry?

Shouldn't we keep these behind-the-scenes squabbles for the editorial meetings on Tuesday?

  4. tr gets the little-used pre-dawn screaming kid exemption - channeling paternal frustration into gtb content is acceptable, even on sundays.

  5. Perhaps this was mentioned last night while I was Stumbling, but I am watching Mark Ingram on the CBS pregame show and I am really impressed with this kid. Humble, friendly, gracious. I thought Suh should win the Heisman, but I am very happy for this kid Ingram.

  6. Oh yeah, Tuesday's editorial meeting is gonna be a doozy - I'm bringing in a guest speaker. Dick Butkus.

  7. No TR. I was just "joking" with you. I realize you're bitter because you were up with a screaming kid but ease back a little on the anger. It's not a good look.

And you can't really think I expected (or even wanted) Tebow to win the Heisman, can you? If I had a vote, Ingram would've gotten it.

  8. Tonight's episode of Cold Case is being billed as "featuring the music of Bob Seger".

    Well then, I'm in.

  9. This Bucs-Jets game is terrible. Not as terrible as Josh Freeman has been, but still very painful to watch.

  10. I just openly rooted for Thomas Jones to score a TD against the Bucs. Fantasy Football makes me feel dirty.

  12. The Redskins have not won a road game in almost 400 days. That streak is only in mild jeopardy today.

  13. I've been left at home alone with the twins for only the second time ever. The first resulted in a lot of crying, predominantly by me.

  14. Redskins playing like team who would take a win but doesn't necessarily feel like working for it.

  15. Brandon Marshall caught 20 passes today?

  16. You'd think at some point LaRon Landy would get a little sick of being abused and giving up big plays week after week. You would think.

  17. On the other hand, those dances he does after hitting people are pretty important to the team.

    ReplyDelete
  18. And you can thank dumbass Fred Davis and his dance for the impending Raiders TD.

  23. If Landry doesn't get benched at the half then something is wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  24. If Al Davis were still alive I'm pretty sure hed say the officials/league are conspiring against his club.

  25. I would love some JaMarcus time in the second half.

  26. The Raiders are really getting what ever the opposite of "the benefit of the doubt" is from the zebras.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Hahahahaha it is JaMarcus time as I hoped...

    ReplyDelete
  28. Losing to Jamarcus would be the cherry on top to this Redskins season.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Um, was JaMarcus Russell just yawning as he walked to the sideline after calling a timeout because he's a moron and doesn't know the play?

    ReplyDelete
  30. Cowboys showing a little sack finally.

  31. Holy fuck Zorn, its a field goal attempt. Settle down,

  32. JaMarcus makes Drew Bledsoe look like Steve Young.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Is Zorn talking to a Time Life operator on his headset? I'm sure the Sherms don't talk to him.
