You are looking live...at a quiet G:TB landscape. Funny how slow it gets at 4:45 AM. I guess nobody else is pacifying a 15 lb. ball of fury at this hour, unless the Z-Man is drunkenly trying to bed a possum. Again.
We have a mixed slate of games today, but with seemingly all of the AFC in the hunt for a wild card berth, it should be interesting. Games that matter include:
New Orleans @ Atlanta
Denver @ Indianapolis
Cincinnati @ Minnesota
San Diego @ Dallas
Philadelphia @ NY Giants.
Enjoy the games.
What I didn't notice the first time I watched Ingram's acceptance speech was Saban's reaction. I don't know what the best word is for the opposite of emotional, but that was good old sincere Nick.
ReplyDeleteI noticed that a bit too. He did manage to plant one of Ingram's mom though.
ReplyDeleteAnd TR, what has Rob told you about Sunday posts?
Did I "Dave" your imminent post? Are you extra salty this morning because Jesus H. Tebow finished 5th and Bama broke its Heisman cherry?
ReplyDeleteShouldn't we keep these behind-the-scenes squabbles for the editorial meetings on Tuesday?
tr gets the little-used pre-dawn screaming kid exemption - channeling paternal frustration into gtb content is acceptable, even on sundays.
ReplyDeletePerhaps this was mentioned last night while I was Stumbling, but I am watching Mark Ingram on the CBS pregame show and I am really impressed with this kid. Humble, friendly, gracious. I thought Suh should win the Heisman, but I am very happy for this kid Ingram.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, Tuesday's editorial meeting is gonna be a doozy - I'm bringing in a guest speaker. Dick Butkus.
ReplyDeleteNo TR. I was just "joking" with you. I realize you're bitter because you were up with a screaming kid but ease back a little on the anger. It's not a good look.
ReplyDeleteAnd you can't really think I expected (or even wanted) Tebow to win the Heisman, can you? If I had a vote, Ingram would've gotten it.
Tonight's episode of Cold Case is being billed as "featuring the music of Bob Seger".
ReplyDeleteWell then, I'm in.
This Bucs-Jets game is terrible. Not as terrible as Josh Freeman has been, but still very painful to watch.
ReplyDeleteI just openly rooted for Thomas Jones to score a TD against the Bucs. Fantasy Football makes me feel dirty.
ReplyDeleteCaddyshack: The Inside Story on channel 266 DirectTV
ReplyDeleteThe Redskins have not won a road game in almost 400 days. That streak is only in mild jeopardy today.
ReplyDeleteI've been left at home alone with the twins for only the second time ever. The first resulted in a lot of crying, predominantly by me.
ReplyDeleteRedskins playing like team who would take a win but doesn't necessarily feel like working for it.
ReplyDeleteBrandon Marshall caught 20 passes today?
ReplyDeleteYou'd think at some point LaRon Landy would get a little sick of being abused and giving up big plays week after week. You would think.
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand, those dances he does after hitting people are pretty important to the team.
ReplyDeleteAnd you can thank dumbass Fred Davis and his dance for the impending Raiders TD.
ReplyDeleteThere's a lot to celebrate when you're 3-9.
ReplyDeletegordon gano is a renaissance man - singing, kicking, celebrating. happy to have him.
ReplyDeleteFred, stay calm this time pal...
ReplyDeleteRob, he also makes tackles/gets run over.
ReplyDeleteIf Landry doesn't get benched at the half then something is wrong.
ReplyDeleteIf Al Davis were still alive I'm pretty sure hed say the officials/league are conspiring against his club.
ReplyDeleteI would love some JaMarcus time in the second half.
ReplyDeleteThe Raiders are really getting what ever the opposite of "the benefit of the doubt" is from the zebras.
ReplyDeleteHahahahaha it is JaMarcus time as I hoped...
ReplyDeleteLosing to Jamarcus would be the cherry on top to this Redskins season.
ReplyDeleteUm, was JaMarcus Russell just yawning as he walked to the sideline after calling a timeout because he's a moron and doesn't know the play?
ReplyDeleteCowboys showing a little sack finally.
ReplyDeleteHoly fuck Zorn, its a field goal attempt. Settle down,
ReplyDeleteJaMarcus makes Drew Bledsoe look like Steve Young.
ReplyDeleteIs Zorn talking to a Time Life operator on his headset? I'm sure the Sherms don't talk to him.
ReplyDeletethe redskins look competent as fuck right now. thank you, jamarcus.
ReplyDeleteI really didn't expect to see all those sacks (ngs). What a pleasant surprise.
ReplyDeleteQuite a swing of emotions for Hakeem Nicks in the last 3 minutes.
ReplyDeleteAlso, Cincy-Xavier is bringing it, per usual.
mark's not kidding about xavier/cincy - headed to double overtime
ReplyDeleteDouble OT now in the Skyline Chili Classic.
ReplyDeleteDid you guys already talk about The Jersey Shore on MTV?
ReplyDeleteSorry if I'm repeating anything...but this show is phenomenal. The hair, the clothes, the language, the "culture"...it is riveting.
The Situation is the greatest reality TV personality ever.
ReplyDeleteAnd there's a ton of quality names on this year's Football HOF ballot.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.pro-football-reference.com/hof/2010-ballot.htm
giants planning to defend the eagles at all this evening?
ReplyDeleteI really regret trading Desean Jackson for Julius Jones after week 2. Especially because I will lose this week's playoff game to the guy I traded with.
