Extra! Extra!

Baseball Hall of Fame to Mark McGwire: "How would you like to suck our balls, Mr. McGwire?"

  1. "Wild, Wild West" by The Escape Club is a fantastic 80s tune...especially that ridiculous rap at the end.

  2. Wow:

L.A. Lakers guard Smush Parker drew attention last season, when he revealed that he'd removed the word "Escalade" from his custom Cadillac sport utility vehicle and substituted "Smushcalade." Kings rookie Quincy Douby has taken the pun a little further. He's replaced "Escalade" with silver lettering that reads "Un-Douby-Lievable."

  3. Kool Moe Dee's "Wild Wild West" was the earlier and better 80's tune. Break out, before you get bumrushed, TJ.

  4. And to take Jayson Stark's point a little further, any writer who did not vote for Cal Ripken and Tony Gwynn should be stripped of his or her voting privileges permanently. There has to be some accountability in everything we do.

  5. Richard Justice wrote an article about just that yesterday. The "I never vote for a guy on the first ballot" argument is a fucking joke.

  6. Honestly, what's the rationale behind that?? That he needs a 6th year to weigh the player's merits? That he doesn't want it to go to the guy's head? Or maybe is it because it makes the writer feel that he has power over someone else? These douchebags should hang out with my boss - they'd get along famously.
